Tumblr’s great for both brands and individuals. Each blog represents them as a person through various forms of media. A great theme created for your specific use-case can turn Tumblr into the perfect platform to express your creativity.
I work from home. It’s a pretty sweet deal, if you ignore all the infinite distractions you have about the house. As I write this now I’ve got a phone, an games console, two TVs and even a bed that I could quite easily absorb myself in if I didn’t hold myself back. Heck, the Internet itself is enough of a distraction I’m sure for any web-based professional.
In a previous post, I talked about how I was making a little character in SVG for Cinolla’s 404 page. The page needed a bit more of a friendly face to it.
I’m not really a graphics guy. I pretty much stay away from the stuff unless I have to. But I decided to spruce up Cinolla’s error pages with a bit more than it’s current ‘Something Went Wrong’ message to something a bit more user-friendly.
I must admit, ‘hacker’ events aren’t really something I frequent. They’re a nice idea in theory and I’m sure they’re the best thing since the light sabre bread knife for some nerds, but they’re not my scene. My weekends are the time I get out and about, so I’d rather not do what I do every week day for my weekend too.
